“In the summer of 2010 I was contacted via flickr by Manuela Kohl, a German photographer who was involved in an ad campaign for an exhibition that was taking place in her home town. The image that Manuela had seen on flickr was a drawing of an African woman I had done years ago in a sketchbook. The exhibition revolved around the lives of three women from three continents: Africa, Asia, and South America. I told Manuela that I wanted to update my drawing and that I also wanted to do two new drawings that would represent the other two cultures in the exhibition. Manuela loved the idea and proposed an interview as well (you can read the full interview by clicking on Artist Info on the front page menu).
